• Close all exterior windows and doors.
Here are some things you can do to prepare for the audit:
• If you have a FIRE PLACE, make sure the damper(s) are closed, and NO FIRE is BURNING.
• Tighten up the house! Make sure all exterior windows and doors closed and latched when your auditor arrives.
• Turn off ceiling light fixtures, especially recessed lights.
• Make sure there is a clear path in your utility room to the furnace and water heater.
• Find the SQUARE FOOTAGE of your house. We’ll need the dimensions (length & width), or the Sq. Ft. areas, of the Basement, Main Floor, Room Addition(s), 2nd Floor, etc. (If you don’t have this information, don’t worry, we can measure).
• Year house was built.
• Age of furnace.
• Have all of your questions and concerns ready, and we’ll do our best to address them! You may want to take notes.
